Seeking a Deaf actor who is comfortable voicing. Talent of all genders (including Trans, intersex, & non-binary talent) of all races and backgrounds. Personality: An exuberant and highly expressive leader with a flare for theatrics who uses their boisterous personality to inspire and unite people. They are deeply empathetic and committed to radical inclusion, radiating a warmth that makes others feel safe and seen. Voice Quality: Primarily a sign language user by choice, Dagaa only vocalizes in two intimate scenes in the story. Their speech patterns reflect someone Deaf from birth but who has had extensive childhood instruction (not equitably given—hence their choice to primarily sign) so they could ‘speak so they can be understood.’
