The Kids is a seriocomic short film about three siblings, 17, 15, and 12, figuring out how to cope one Halloween after their single mom has been institutionalized following being a DUI arrest. Eventually left alone, Jonah, the youngest sibling, feverishly attempts to make it a "normal" halloween. All these characters are wounded, angry, and dysfunctional, while at the same time intelligent, funny, sweet, capable of compassion, and improvising how to cope.
