3. RICK “RIKKI FOXX” ROCCOPIORIE (Ed’s dad), 60, is a guitar player whose band ruled the Sunset Strip back in the 80s but never really “made it” big. He fit, and played the part, of arockstar to a tee, fully embracing the sex, drugs, and rock and roll lifestyle. The only girl he ever truly loved left him after catching him making out with a groupie just before she was about to tell him she was pregnant. After multiple stints in rehab, he is now the proud owner of Rick’s Classic Vinyl record store, Ed Rock’s employer, mentor, and unbeknownst to Ed, his father. The Faded Glam Icon / Hidden Father. Long silver hair, whiskey eyes, and deep emotional scars. He lives a quiet, protective, analog life running a record shop, carrying a staggering secret: he is Ed Rock's biological father, and his own past is catching up to him. Audition Note: The actor needs a weathered, gravelly weight. He uses gruff, analog disdain to mask a deep, fragile vulnerability and a desperate instinct to protect his son from the predatory music business.
