Real Dad and Teenage Daughter Dad 45-55. A natural dad. Strong Actor with great comedic timing. Natural comedy, not character. Comfortable playing a racket sport - like tennis or pickleball. Does not need to be professional!! Just comfortable holding the racket and learning. An everyday, relatable, and highly likable Dad who is starting to feel the physical toll of getting older. He is a charismatic, natural actor (not a polished model type) who can effortlessly deliver subtle comedic expressions, show vulnerability about his knee, and display the athletic coordination needed to pull off believable pickleball action scenes. Teenage Daughter, to play age 15/16 years old. Strong Actor with great comedic timing. Natural comedy, not character. Comfortable playing a racket sport - like tennis or pickleball. We are looking for a skilled performer with excellent acting chops and the ability to take direction. She must be friendly and warm but carry a certain competitive fire and an endearing comedic sensibility. Athletic with actual tennis or pickleball experience are preferred to handle the physical nature of the training montages. SCENE SCENARIO DAD: Dad should less athletic here, less naturally skilled than his daughter in sports, even if he loves the competition. He’s got a bit of that underdog quality to him. He also knows comedy. He can play up those swings and misses, the poor dinks at the net, the exhaustive nature of being worked by his daughter on the court. He takes it all in stride because he loves his daughter and wants to show her that her old man still has it.
