Robert “Bob” Dixon was one of the original astronomers involved with initial efforts into researching the Wow! Signal after it was discovered by volunteer astronomer Jerry Ehman. He served as the assistant director of Ohio State University and also as the project director of SETI, (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence).
