About the Job
This character is the heart of the commercial. This is a young man on the verge of proposing — he’s excited, a little nervous, and completely in love. He’s warm, charming, and relatable. When disaster strikes (a clogged, overflowing toilet), his panic is real but plays with light physical comedy. He needs to carry both the romantic sincerity of the period and the humor of the plumbing emergency without letting either undercut the other. Tone Notes: Think classic Hollywood leading man energy — Jimmy Stewart sincerity with a dash of physical comedy chops. This is not a broad or goofy performance. The humor comes from the situation; his reactions should feel genuine and grounded. Actor will be styled in a 1940s fashion. Wardrobe/HMU will be provided. NOTE: This shoots on June 16th in Los Angeles, CA. Please only submit if you are available on this date and local to LA. There will be no travel compensation or reimbursement.
