PLOT: A black athlete (Darwin) is accused of killing his Caucasian wife and her parents. During an investigation, the authorities learn that he has had affairs and financial difficulties. The evidence in getting a conviction is strong. Darwin skips bail and goes on a quest to clear his name, gathering clues to find and expose the true perps. A taste of the fugitive but in a very different air. Background: Working with a small production company. In conversation with this production company (that is trying to build a name), the task here has been to break the next African American superstar. While most are doing traditional audition-wait-and-callback work, we are creating projects and strategizing by way of unique, carefully written material
