About the Job

Casting Two (2) supporting shoppers — each appears in one episode only, alongside the Main Character. This role will have lines. A real-feeling Macy’s shopper who’s just finished checking out. Intercepted by the Main Character and guided into Backstage — they’re curious, warm, and genuinely surprised by what they find. This is a witty, character-driven social series shot entirely inside Macy’s. Each episode begins at the checkout moment — a shopper is intercepted by the Main Character (a confident, funny insider) and guided into Macy’s Backstage, the store-within-a-store. The shopper reacts in real time as they discover off-price finds they didn’t know were there. This is a reaction-driven series. Less dialogue, more discovery. The camera lives on the shopper’s face. Talent should be comfortable and authentic in front of the camera, and natural when highlighting the products. Natural, unforced reactions — not over-performed. Warm and relatable — feels like a real shopper. Strong listening skills and comfortable with improv. Great chemistry with the Main Character. -Talent must be in good standing with SAG and/or Complete Taft Hartley Waiver. -Talent should be local to Los Angeles and/or willing to self-report to LA (Exact Location TBD). -Talent must be willing to shoot in the evening as we will be shooting in Macy’s after hours. -Talent must be available to willing to self-tape this week for the role.
