On their five-year anniversary, Jessica is expecting a proposal - but Danny doesn’t feel ready for that kind of commitment. Feeling unappriciated, Jess finds herself leaving LA and moving back to her sister in Ohio. A short time later, an odd virus starts spreading across the nation, infecting people with zombie-like symptoms. The origin of this illness? Ohio. Shocked by this information, Danny finds a spur of ambition to drive across the country and save his girlfriend from the impending mind-eaters. Along with his best friend Moss, the two need to get their lives together enough to make it across the country in one piece, with zombies, authorities, and even midwesterners, on their tails.
