Synopsis:

We’re looking for real mechanics, both amateurs and pros, to compete head-to-head in a game show for Donut Media to fix and win a car! We're casting a duo (friend vs friend, parent vs child, sibling vs sibling, or relative vs relative) that can submit as a pair. Whoever fixes their car first gets to drive it home. ***PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING*** • You both must be in Southern California to compete or be able to travel to Los Angeles for our shoot. • Submissions without an attached video will not be considered. You can submit one video per duo or upload two separate videos. If uploading two separate videos, please mention who you're submitting as a team with. • Don’t exaggerate your skills! Just be honest – we’re looking for different skill levels and need to accurately understand what you can do. • You must be available to film on Thursday, May 21. Roughly 9am start time, 6pm wrap at Donut HQ in the LA area.

**PLEASE SUBMIT A VIDEO BELOW ANSWERING THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS** • Submissions are due by 10pm PST on Thursday, May 7, 2026 • Tell us both of your names and where you’re both from. • What do you both do for a living? • What is your automotive background? Have you ever worked at a shop or automotive business? If so, do you have any certifications? • What is the largest/hardest automotive task you've taken on and completed? What made it so hard? • Do you have a broad set of mechanic skills for all makes and models, or are you best at a certain aspect of working on cars? (ex: welding, electrical, etc) • How would you rate your automotive diagnostic skills on a scale of 1 to 10? • Do you both have project cars? Tell us about those builds. • What would it mean to you if you won a vehicle on Free Ride? • Submissions without an attached video will not be considered.
