Sage
Butterfly Makes A Wish
About the Job
Sage goes to the woods to perform a ritual that she thinks will grant her wish to end her loneliness and get her out of this limbo that she's found herself in. She wants to just snap her fingers and solve all her problems instantly, but that's not how her wish is granted. Instead, a spirit appears to guide her. But Sage misses the spirit's messages and instead just grows attached to the spirit, as in her mind, this is the first of the new people she's meeting because of her wish. Eventually though, she comes to terms with the fact that solving her problems won't be as easy as she wants. It'll be a lot of work but it's always worth it. It's essentially a character study, The whole film is centered around Sage's emotional journey. This is a very unique role as for the bulk of the film, there is no spoken dialogue but instead a sort of poetic inner monologue from Sage, which will be recorded later. no voice acting experience necessary, it's pretty different than normal voice acting anyway. Sage and the spirit don't talk directly until the final scene, so there is lots of wordless interacting that places full emphasis on the physical performance.
