We are looking for the MODERN WESTERN ICON! This person should be the embodiment of Texas doing the most — and making it look effortless. They’re not performing cool. They ARE COOL!!! WHO THEY ARE: Texas-rooted, Texas-proud — but not in a cliché way. They’ve got a personal style that’s dialed up to somewhere between 8 and 11. Big-hat energy, even if they’re not wearing one. Above all else: AUTHENTICITY! You have to believe this person actually exists in the world. THE PHYSICAL ENERGY: Expressive face on camera. Comfortable on camera in a way that reads as completely unaware of the camera. This includes eating a burger. TONE REFERENCES: Think Leon Bridges meets a Texas rancher who also collects vintage lowriders. Or a rodeo queen who DJs on weekends. Or a retired NFL lineman who now makes custom boots. The point is: They contain multitudes, and none of those multitudes conflict.
