About the Job

We are specifically seeking talent with a strong background in comedy and/or improv (stand-up, sketch, improv, or similar). Sports Coach Vibe. Should have substantial experience in scripted and improv comedy. A real person—not a character, caricature, or impression. No added accents. Coach Ed exemplifies a nurturing guardian archetype and is inspiring while helping patients build their confidence in conversations with their HCPs. He stays optimistic and visibly excited, providing patients emotional support, practical skills, and the language they need to self-advocate during a critical conversation about their condition. He brings empathy, humor, and motivation, complementing the expertise of the healthcare provider. While not a medical expert, he is an expert in communication—helping patients take meaningful steps in their treatment journey. Tone: Exuberant, humorous, motivating, and positive. The Coach is the heart of the piece and carries much of the tone of the campaign. This role may become a recurring character within the series. SKILLS / STYLE Strong improv background required Experience in comedy (improv, sketch, stand-up, or similar) Comfortable with light physical humor Able to balance scripted material with natural, in-the-moment moments Confident on camera with strong presence and likability Open to all body types; should have a “former athlete” energy (not required to be fit), with ability for light physical action TRAVEL Travel provided for non-local talent (coach airfare and standard accommodations). Talent within reasonable driving distance of Boston should self-report and work as local hires.
