A gnome creature named Grinstoplin stalks and systematically kills the associates of Sternius Halk, a wealthy trader who has been capturing, torturing, and preserving gnomes in glass jars for profit. After dispatching Halk's hired guard Jostis, Grinstoplin terrorizes Halk through his own estate before trapping him in his laboratory, where the horrifying collection of preserved gnome remains is revealed. Grinstoplin, driven by vengeance for his people, including what appears to be a lost loved one, leaves Halk to burn alive amid the flames, offering a final farewell to one of the preserved gnomes before disappearing into the night.

Peasant, man with a farmers tan and a grizzled face of many days beard growth and messy hair, we see him only briefly when he opens the door to see the Sisters passing, and quickly closes it before they smell the alcohol on his breath.

Sister Cintessa, A haughty, older, more experienced and wiser woman than the other two, in her 50s-60s, but wiry and agile, she moves with the economy of years of experience. A face with a look that cuts through any bullshit she might encounter.
