Short films commissioned to explore the theme of consciousness directed by Tristan Patterson and produced by John Benet. TRISTAN PATTERSON is a filmmaker, writer and creative director. His feature film, Dragonslayer, was awarded the Grand Jury Prizes for Best Documentary and Best Cinematography at SXSW and Best International Feature at HotDocs. His commercial work with agencies like 72&Sunny Amsterdam, TBWA Paris and Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo on global campaigns for clients including Adidas, BMW and Citizen has received multiple gold Cannes Lions and an AICP Award for Public Service, achieving over a billion views worldwide. “Cokewhite, Starlight,” his collaboration with the performance artist and rapper Mykki Blanco, was named one of the best music videos of the decade by Slant. He is currently adapting the short story “Good Looking Out” for Oscar-winning producers Adele Romanski and Barry Jenkins at A24. JOHN BENET is a documentary and commercial producer with three decades of experience. His decade-long partnership with the filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu at Anonymous Content resulted in groundbreaking global campaigns for brands like Procter & Gamble, Facebook, Apple and the non-profit Montana Meth. John is also the producer of the documentary California Typewriter, featuring Tom Hanks, John Mayer and Sam Shepard. The film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and was hailed by Variety as “an ingenious meditation on what the digital era is doing to us.” His projects have won numerous awards, including an Emmy and DGA Award, an AICP Award and a pair of Gold Effies.
