What begins as a cruel bet between the brothers to make Chloe fall in love turns into a messy, dangerous romance between Chloe and Archer, complicated by Mona’s jealous, escalating schemes, including attempted drowning, kidnapping with a planned sexual assault, and arson. After Chloe discovers the bet and walks away, Archer defies his powerful father, chooses her over his inheritance, and together they dismantle Blackstone’s toxic hierarchy, earn their way into an Ivy League school, and eventually get engaged on campus on their own terms.
