Synopsis: Elias Brand’s career as a stand-up comic is coming to an end just as it is supposed to begin: he has been drafted into a foreign war, one he knows nothing about and wants nothing to do with. To make the most of his last few days stateside, he spends his time with wife Loulou and fellow draftee Brian. His plan is interrupted, however, by an unexpected visit from his old friend Glenn, a private liaison for the U.S. Department of Public Relations. Glenn offers to transfer Elias to a battalion unlikely to see combat—but only if Elias agrees to endorse the war publicly.
