An ex-Marine starts working at an unassuming hardware store that turns out to be a Pandora’s box of inexplicable phenomena and unforgettable coworkers, including a jaded actress, a tough-as-nails lesbian, and their recently divorced boss who spend their days fighting (or giving into) the gravitational pull of Hardy’s Home Improvements. The tone lives somewhere between The Office UK and Community — grounded character comedy with heightened workplace absurdity and Magical Realism. The proof of concept will run about 8 minutes and is intended to support network pitching to turn into a full series.
