About the Job
The director wants comedy actors who do more dry comedy. Think 2nd-city or UCB-type actors. He can be very short or very tall. Maybe even has a lazy eye. Non-traditional, unique, and quirky look. This is like finding our Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim (John Krasinski) from The Office. But in the more quirky section of your local department store. The director is looking for nontraditional types that you don’t see in commercials, NOT model types at all. More offbeat, interesting looks and distinct features that are funny immediately because of their relatability (despite their uniqueness). And a weird laugh never hurts. These two anchor our campaign, and it lives or dies on their appeal. I want improv assassins who will have us silently dying & crying with laughter at the monitor. I’m also looking for chemistry — the kind you find on the skating rink floor. I want an innocence to them — they’re not jaded — they love life and their office culture. He should be an improve king.
