Denzel is the bridge between the girls and the criminal world. Confident, charismatic, and street-connected. He knows how things work and understands risk—but he also enjoys power. Though initially protective, he carries pride and ego that eventually surface. He resents being disrespected and doesn’t respond well to authority. His humiliation at Hector’s hands fuels later decisions. He becomes more violent and decisive as the story progresses—especially when he executes Hector’s men during the robbery. That moment marks a shift: Denzel crosses a line and doesn’t look back.
