About the Job
The Treasurer sees the world through budgets, reserves, and worst-case scenarios. He is cautious, risk-averse, and deeply anxious about anything that might impact property values. This role thrives on subtle reactions and dry line delivery rather than overt comedy. * Strong improvisational instincts a plus, but actors should be grounded and naturalistic. * Mockumentary experience preferred but not required. * Looking for performers who can find comedy in stillness, subtext, and silence. GENERAL TONE (ALL ROLES) This is a mockumentary in the vein of The Office / Abbott Elementary, but grounded in suburban HOA reality. * Comedy comes from commitment, not winks. * Characters take the situation completely seriously, even when they’re wrong. * Please avoid broad sitcom energy, accents, or mugging to camera. * Natural pacing. Let silences land. * Talking heads should feel like the character is trying to explain themselves well — not perform for laughs.
