Glass Mask

Feature Film SAG-AFTRA, Low Budget Film
Los Angeles
Synopsis:

Savannah, 30s, is blindsided when she’s laid off from her corporate job. Estranged from her dying father and unwilling to fly home to face him, Savannah hatches a plan to road trip her way back, creating a travel vlog in hopes of becoming a viral influencer. Her pregnant sister, overwhelmed with a toddler and their father’s care, pleads with Savannah to come home quickly, but Savannah stubbornly focuses on her budding online presence instead. Armed with an iPhone and big dreams, she sets out on the open road, documenting her journey in awkward, often cringe-worthy attempts to emulate social media stars. At first, Savannah struggles to gain traction online, her posts garnering little attention. But a quirky, spontaneous moment captured during her travels unexpectedly goes viral, catapulting her into internet fame. Her follower count skyrockets, and offers from sponsors begin pouring in. As Savannah revels in her newfound success, she films increasingly elaborate and polished content, even meeting a charming stranger who offers to help her film some videos. Savannah’s confidence grows, but her sister’s calls for help become more desperate—especially when their father passes away before Savannah can make amends. Unbeknownst to Savannah, her rapid ascent to influencer status has drawn the attention of a dangerous admirer. The “Glass Mask,” a digital stalker with a shattered mirror mask and a penchant for horror, has been watching her every move. Using the public locations shared in her posts, he tracks her with precision. Savannah’s growing fame blinds her to the danger until it’s too late; she accepts an invitation to stay at a remote Airbnb, unaware that it’s a trap set by her stalker. In the secluded cabin, Savannah discovers chilling selfie photos where the Glass Mask is lurking in the background. As the stalker’s grip tightens, the story takes a terrifying turn. Through hacked devices and hidden cameras, Savannah learns the shocking extent of the Glass Mask’s obsession. He reveals himself to be the mastermind behind her viral success, manipulating her rise to fame as part of his sinister plan to create his ultimate snuff film. Savannah’s carefully curated posts are exposed as a façade, while the stalker unveils raw footage of her most vulnerable moments, captured without her knowledge. To deepen the torment, he shows court recordings of Savannah committing perjury, or worse, exposing her to legal jeopardy that could destroy any hope of reclaiming her professional life.
