Catalina Christmas
A career-oriented history preservationist, EDEN LOVERIDGE, has dreamed of attending the exclusive HOLIDAY BALL at the Casino on Catalina Island since childhood. Her family has a long, happy history of love and marriage proposals there. After getting ghosted by her boyfriend and a screw-up at work that cost her a promotion, she could use some good news. When her best friend JACQUI calls to tell her she got them - nearly impossible to get - tickets to The Ball, Eden refuses to go! She doesn’t believe in love anymore and she’s never bought into magic or “signs”, but Jacqui is determined to convince her that this is Eden’s sign to give love another chance. Life can’t be about work and career alone! Eden’s mother CHERYL gives her a beautiful family heirloom necklace for good luck (in love) - with the challenge to discover its secret history... knowing her daughter can’t refuse a challenge. When Eden arrives at the Holiday Ball, she isn’t looking for love. But when she meets the Casino’s owner, ERIC WHITWORTH, and sparks fly, she might reconsider. However, it ends before it can begin after he announces his plans to sell the Casino. Infuriated, she will stop at nothing to prevent him from destroying the iconic building, its history, and her family’s memories there. After several failed attempts to change his mind, something unexpected happens... They begin to have mystical shared visions of a young couple from the 1920s, when the Casino first opened. But who are they, and why is this happening? Inspired by the visions, Eden proposes a new plan. And TOGETHER they bring Christmas to Catalina, save the Casino, and discover the undying spark of true love.
