I Wear the Mask is the challenge faced by Bradford/DeShawn depending on who is wearing the mask. Bradford struggles to hide the pain and suffering of being Black in the late 90’s and hides his true feelings behind a façade of joy and contentment to navigate racial justice in and out of his community.
