Gery, a quiet young boy with a talent for origami, walks home alongside a girl he admires, carefully carrying a paper creation he’s made for her. Their shy, comfortable moment is abruptly shattered when a local bully confronts them. Mocking Gery’s delicate origami and his gentle nature, the bully shoves him aside, humiliating him in front of the girl. Using ridicule and intimidation, the bully asserts control and pulls the girl away, leaving Gery on the ground with his crushed paper figure. The scene ends with Gery alone, hurt and embarrassed, as he stares at the ruined origami—an early lesson in loss, power, and the cruelty of growing up.
