The Idol / The Athlete (tv pitch)

Vision - I am packing up two tv series for a pitch. I have written series examples (Bibles) for both and these projects which includes The Idol: A series about an actor who finds instant fame. The instant fame comes with consequences in his relationships and through obsessive fans. I have racked this stories with twists, turns and crazy. The scene located in the body of the casting is between Nathan (the Idol) and his girlfriend Kenya. She is emotional. She is packing up and leaving the apartment they share together for some personal reason. Basically, Kenya is intimidated by her boyfriend's success. Jealousy is eating her up every time she sees a female fan ask for an autograph, its too much for her... This is just one of the obstacles Nathan will face as his star rises. The Athlete: Similar to the IDOL story line above, you have a young, Caucasian man who has just achieved massive fame in college sports. When he brings home his black girlfriend, he learns things about his family and especially his mom. This is just the tip of the iceberg as we explore a man's sudden rise into athletic celebrity.
