Shooting end of March/April. Dry and haphazard, but a comedy in essence if not moment-to-moment. This is a scathing look at the reality of the “loneliness epidemic,” and how what people say they want is often not what they’re actually trying to accomplish. Annie Hall crossed with the unpolished craze of Tangerine and dark humor of Shiva Baby, and a splash of the early 2000’s Rom Coms with a brutal twist of reality. We’re poking fun at all the common sayings in today’s dating scene: “All men are trash,” or, “Men will do anything except get a therapist.” This is a portrait of a man that will make everyone shake their heads until they see the littlest glimmer of hope that he might actually learn something about himself.
