Synopsis:

Uptight Eric decides to propose to his girlfriend Skye at her family’s “naturist” camp and meet her family. However, he doesn’t know Skye has a big secret: she and her family are nudists! And she told them he is too! Now, Eric must decide if he can accept being a part of a family that's got nothing to hide. It’s Meet The Parents, with a nudist twist. The award-winning naturist comedy play is now coming to the big screen to tell a story about body positivity and self-acceptance that will make audiences sigh, cry, and laugh their pants off, literally.

Project Notes

Disrobed premiered at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2019, where it was nominated for Best Immersive Production and earned a residency due to its success. A virtual version adapted for Zoom played all over the world including at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. During this run, it won accolades including Best Online Show at Big Sky Fringe Festival and three 2021 Worldwide Comedy Awards nominations including Best Actor for the performer playing Skye alongside fellow nominees Nicolas Cage, Ed Helms, and Patti Harrison. A 2023 Hollywood Fringe Revival met to similar critical acclaim. This production has been previously produced by the Southern California Naturist Association and the American Association for Nude Recreation to promote a respectful and wholesome mainstream vision of naturism. All talent must be able to work as locals to Riverside County, California near Glen Eden Sun Club nudist resort. Some roles do require non-sexual nudity. No roles require simulated sex scenes. An intimacy coordinator has been hired by production and is available to talk with cast upon being hired. Due to the nature of this film and the shoot's nudist resort location, actors may opt out of putting on robes between takes and some actors may remain nude even out of character. The main six roles of Eric, Skye, Axel, Kat, George, and Sierra have been cast. The director will be portraying the role of a nudist character, Eric, on set.
