About the Job
You’ll be considered and auditioning for both the employee and customer. See exact rates / usage above - they are different for employees and customers. We are casting 2 Female Employees (Tonya and Sara) Overall Vibe: Approachable experts. They know everything about batteries and device power, but they never feel dismissive or superior. They are genuinely excited to help, slightly nerdy in a charming way, and the kind of people who would make their own props to celebrate batteries. The humor comes from their sincerity and commitment, not from playing “characters.” Performance: Must have comedic range. They start with contained, professional enthusiasm so they don’t scare customers off, then they let their passion and nerdiness shine through as the script unfolds. They should be able to show subtle passion and excitement for batteries without going broad or over-the-top, then fully commit to big celebration when called for. We are casting 2 female customers. “Champ” Woman in her 30s to 40s. Professional lunch-break vibe. Efficient, time-conscious, and slightly stressed at the start. Quietly impressed and relieved by how quickly the team swaps the battery. Underplays reactions so the employee passion remains the comedic engine. “Chirp Chirp” Woman 25-60 years old. Starts slightly frantic because she needs a replacement key fob and doesn’t know where to go. Delightfully surprised to learn Batteries Plus can solve it. Responds to the oversized knitted key fob and chirping store as “this is odd, but helpful.” Not freaked out, more pleasantly confused and going with it.
