Height 5’3-5’6. Must be able to rap and freestyle. 90s Style rap like Lauryn Hill. You must look like a teenager. You will not be accepted if you don’t look like a teenager. If you can’t rap you would be selected for the role. Zaya is a very talented musician who is stuck with strict, limiting parents who rather see her work an honest job instead of focusing on her pursuits of becoming a rapper. Tough, rebellious, and very expressive, Zaya is typically the muscle of the crew, and never shies away from a challenge or a threat. Zaya became interested in Hip Hop around the late 80s with Boogie Down productions and De la Soul as her inspirations. Zaya was a church choir member at 7 years old but quit at 11 years old because she was scared and shy of her own voice. She soon started to learn how to rap by reciting lyrics from her favorite Hip Hop Songs. Zaya is a genius when it comes to anything music related. She can spit a mean 16 and can rap with the best of them. You usually see her in a lot of rap battles in the cafeteria or school yard or alleys. She has conflict with one of the main characters Rosa. Even though Zaya and Rosa are always at each other’s throats for their ideals and conflicting relationship. They do have mutual respect for each other and can be seen hanging out with the rest of the crew.
