Jaime’s roommate and Carina’s friend. Ruben is a down-to-earth and carefree presence. He’s only vaguely aware of Jaime’s feelings, but understands Jaime’s interest in Carina. Ruben speaks from a third person perspective in an attempt to comfort Jaime, but it is all easier said than done.
