About the Job
The Prophet. Chirayu’s mother. She is the emotional spine of the family. While Nandu reacts with anger, Kaku reacts with a terrifying, silent pragmatism. Psychology: She loves her son deeply, but she is the one who taught him the harsh reality of the world. In the 1990s Flashbacks, she is the one who warns Young Chirayu that the world will try to "box him in" if he doesn't fly. In the Present Day, she tries to scrub the shame away literally—cleaning the hallway tiles on her hands and knees moments after the FBI leaves. Key Traits: Stern, protective, and hauntingly resilient. She is the character who foreshadows Chirayu's fate.
