About the Job
About the Job
Gender: Men Ethnicity: All races welcome Age Range: 28-38 Union: Non-union No food allergies (there may be food on set). DESCRIPTION: We’re casting adult talent to portray the uncle in a warm, lighthearted “At-Home Meal Brand” commercial series. The performances will be lip-synced over by a child’s voice, so actors must bring a fun, expressive energy that sells the humor and authenticity of the scene through physicality and facial expression. Uncle Derek is the embodiment of cool without trying. He’s the guy who wears a leather jacket to Sunday dinner, collects vintage cameras, and could tell you about the hostel he stayed at in Iceland. His look is rugged but intentional; rolled sleeves, worn boots, and maybe one unexpected accessory that says, “yeah, I’ve seen some things.” He’s a little Sean Penn from Walter Mitty, a little local legend energy. A grown-up who still knows how to have fun. TONE: Natural, grounded, but with animated, childlike enthusiasm; imagine your kid just stole your dialogue and is doing an impression of you. Performances should feel believable yet heightened, playful but not over-the-top. NOTES FOR TALENT: Talent will be working 1 Day, and we’ll need actors who are comfortable taking direction quickly, matching timing to dialogue cues, and maintaining energy across takes. You’ll be performing dialogue as if a child is “voicing” you, so lean into playful reactions, exaggerated gestures, and a sense of fun. Rate: $500/12hrs + $1000 usage fee (2yr usage for TV, OTT, Social, Digital, Print & Radio) Inclusive of Agency Fees Local to the NY/NJ area
