About the Job

A characterful motel receptionist — someone who feels like they’ve spent years behind the same wood-paneled front desk, greeting travelers with equal parts politeness and skepticism. We’re looking for expressive, cinematic faces that bring texture, humor, and personality to this world. The role involves both stylized portrait photography and short looping video clips (simple, slow movements — no dialogue). Interested in all body types. Reminder: This is a personal creative project with a modest $100 honorarium as a thank-you for your participation. You will receive lunch, a digital version of the photograph, and credit. About the Project: A stylized 1970s-inspired photo and short motion portrait series by photographer Justin Bettman, known for his cinematic, character-driven imagery. Each image will look like a film still — rich with storytelling, mood, and detail. Google him to get a sense of the style of the work.
