Sam Javi
Javi and Rae - Moving In
About the Job
Character Type: Polite, clean-cut, organized, “ideal roommate” type
Description:
Sam Javi is the picture of responsibility—neat, courteous, and eager to please. He’s the kind of person who shows up early, pays rent on time, and keeps everything spotless. Sam exudes a calm, dependable energy that contrasts sharply with Javi Cruz’s chaotic personality. Though he means well and seems like the obvious choice for Rae’s new roommate, Sam often finds himself overshadowed (and sabotaged) by Cruz’s antics.
Personality Traits:
Responsible, well-mannered, slightly uptight
Honest, but perhaps too polished—feels almost rehearsed
Patient, but visibly uncomfortable when chaos unfolds around him
A “straight man” archetype in the comedy dynamic
Audition Notes:
Actors auditioning for Sam should bring a grounded, natural energy with subtle comedic timing. The humor comes less from “being funny” and more from Sam’s earnestness and his reactions when his orderliness collides with Cruz’s messiness. Think “good guy next door” who might be just a little too perfect.

!!!!!!!Additional Information!!!!!!
The actor must be comfortable with production using their headshot/photo for a gag later in the episode. In Part 3 of the full script, there is a comedic moment where Javi Cruz reveals a “prison photo” of Sam Javi. This will be created by cropping/manipulating the actor’s audition or production photo.
No actual prison-related scene is filmed; it is strictly a comedic prop/picture gag used to heighten the rivalry between the two Javis.
