OCP - COMEDIC HOST Male or Female/ Any Ethnicity/ 30-40s/ Comedic Talent, excellent with character acting & scripted delivery. High energy, charismatic, commanding presence Improv/comedy experience a plus. The Host is the face of the “7 Minute Apps” parody workout video. They embody the over-the-top energy of a late-80s/early-90s aerobics instructor, crossed with a cheesy infomercial spokesperson. They bring a slightly unhinged energy to the video. They take this very seriously, but channel it into relentless positivity and hype. Think: authoritative presence without being a drill sergeant. Charismatic enough to lead the “class,” funny enough to lean into the absurdity of it all while still playing it straight. Think Tony Horton from P90X meets Richard Simmons meets Suzanne Somers. Able to balance “fitness parody” sincerity with comedic exaggeration (ie. breaking the fourth wall and playing directly to camera). Comfortable performing basic exercise moves (bicycle crunches, bicep curls, planks, hip openers) on camera while speaking Energetic and expressive body language. Must be NYC Local Hire, Ok for nonunion. Selected talent will be asked to submit self tapes with scripted audition.
