About the Job
Age: 40–50
Year: c. 1750
Tribal Affiliation: Born into the Munsee tribe of the Lenape/Delaware people
Ethnicity: Production is prioritizing citizens of federally recognized tribes, especially those with Lenape heritage. However, we will consider performers who can respectfully and authentically portray an Indigenous woman of Northeastern Woodland descent.
Appearance: Must appear to be of Native/Indigenous descent. Weathered, grounded, and expressive. Someone who reflects the endurance and strength of a woman carrying the weight of her family and people.
Character Notes:
Elizabeth is a mother, wife, and survivor. She walks beside her husband, Teedyuscung, during a turbulent time of diplomacy, relocation, and survival. She is observant, emotionally intelligent, and deeply rooted in tradition. Though quiet in public, she is a pillar of strength in private — the keeper of the family’s balance, especially as their sons look to them for guidance. Her presence evokes dignity, resilience, and quiet wisdom.
Type of Role:
Non-speaking reenactment for a PBS docuseries. Must be comfortable on camera and able to follow basic direction. This is a pivotal visual role.
