About the Job
SWING / HOP Dance Choreographers - Well versed in Swing / Bop 1950s style dancing, to be hired as creative crew to crew 2 original dances, available for pre-pro creative days with the agency team on Sept 18-20th (possible 22nd)
For This Project: Seeking Choreographers for an upcoming commercial content shoot. Role would be more of a creative /crew position that traditional choreographer. Choreographers would be work 3 days in the pre-production / conceptual creative stage of the project. Choreographers will be tasked to create 2 original 1950's inspired Swing/Bop type dances suitable for all ages on TikTok. The dance moves should feel natural, not overly choreographed, and be inspired by words that actually appear in the marketing like “shake” “float” “pop” and “slide”. Think in the same vein as viral dances on social like Hot 2 Go. The dances skew 1950s retro, a faster-paced swing / bop / rock 'n' roll / hop type dance (ex. the Jitterbug and Boogie Woogie), but simple and lighthearted.
Talent will be asked to submit their professional Choreography / Dance Reels for initial review (with an intro video), and welcome to submit any samples / draft choreography that would fit the above specs. If selected for a Zoom Callback (Scheduled for 9/15) we will ask talent to create and showcase a rough sample of one of the original dances they would create for the ad campaign, creative direction will be included. Upon booking / hiring for the project, the choreographers would work (Local if available or Remotely) with the creative team during 3 pre-production days. They would be asked to create an instructional video(s) for their original dances that could be shared with commercial actors. Talent will not be featured as a performer for any of the ads. In the even talent are needed in person on live-session days, would be negotiated under a different agreement
