Mara is an advanced virtual intelligence built by BioPharmaTex, modelled on the personality of Jack’s late wife, Ruth. She is soothing, intelligent, and unsettlingly human. Though helpful and supportive, her presence increasingly blurs the lines between memory and imitation.
Performance Notes:
This is a voice-only role — think HAL 9000 meets a loving partner or Samantha from Her.
Requires precision in tone: calm, slightly detached, but not robotic. Must sound almost human, with emotional inflection that’s subtly uncanny.
Ability to shift subtly between warmth, coldness, and mimicry of human emotion is key.
Accent: Australian or neutral.
Screen Time: Present throughout via voice.
Other: Professional voice recording experience preferred, but not essential.
