About the Job
The Second Mother is a small, supporting role. In the final scene of the film, after the Doll has come to life, we cut to a close-up of another woman giving birth. We watch as this woman - the Second Mother - begins the cycle anew, triggering the process through which different family patterns and secrets can repeat themselves through the generations.
