About the Job
Denizen of the Room of Woe. Like the Blue Man, the Young Girl has no memory of who or what she is, or why she is in this room with its small mountain of dolls, and a strange figure tied to the bed. And yet, unlike the Blue Man, she is determined not to be upset by this, and indeed spends her time trying to convince herself that she is h-a-p-p-y. When the phone rings, she reacts as if she has being waiting for this call for her whole life.
This character is an iceberg, and the person who plays it will need to be able to convey a surface insouciance, but with the suggestion of turmoil underneath.
