About the Job
The other inhabitant of the Room of Woe. The Bound and Gagged Figure only appears as a blurry apparition in the background. He is at once entirely peripheral and forgettable, almost like a piece of furniture that once had a place in the order of things but that has long-since been superseded by other more modern pieces, and yet at the same time he is absolutely central - the lead character in the diorama of horror and torment that the other characters have pushed down into the darkest corners of their unconscious.
