Preferably looking for POC actresses who feel comfortable in a queer role. No nudity or sex scenes involved, however there will be some intimacy involved, open to communication on that.
Role Desc:
Jayla is the other half of a dysfunctional relationship. She desperately craves intimacy, but is exhausted with the constant struggle of trying to get her partner, Seven, to open up. Seven remains emotionally unavailable, an empty suit of armor. The only way to get through to her is by wounding her. Jayla has become jaded with the part she plays in the relationship, and while she feels a sense of resentment, it all washes away when Seven finally opens up. The dysfunction exists in this cycle, which fuels itself.
For this role, l'm looking for talent that and can be a helpful scene partner for our artist. The artist is stepping out of their comfort zone to act, so I'm looking for someone that can give them some tips, and be a strong supporting scene partner. I think this will also work well with the dynamic of the two characters in the story. There will be a few scenes with dialogue, most of which will center around your role as Jayla, but a lot of the performance will come through in exchanged glances and movements. Ideally, someone with some experience in either commercial or music video modeling would be great, but not a deal breaker. Also open to actor's who have some directing or teaching experience.
