Appearance wise, Vili looks almost the opposite of Tita. Vili is very old, wrinkly, rail thin and “frail” looking, and has no teeth. He has thin, wispy white hair.
Personality wise, he is very similar to Tita, except that he never talks. He just smiles. A lot. He’s an excellent boat driver, deftly guiding the boat to find whales. He’s Tita’s sidekick in all her roles (assistant rugby coach, accompanies her on her taxi drives, etc).
Like Tita, Vili is jovial and optimistic. Every day is a good day. He’s just happy to be here. He gets along great with young kids like Cali.
We would like actors of Polynesian descent who can do a Tongan accent. The role is in English only, so no need to speak Tongan, but we would prefer an authentic accent.
