About the Job
Tita is a middle-aged motherly woman, very strong and large of stature, with long dark hair. Tita wears many hats (a.k.a. she has many jobs on the island). She runs the “front desk” at the whale tours office. She is also the captain of the whale boat. She’s also a pastor, a rugby coach, and a taxi driver. (Because the island of Tonga is so small, residents find themselves carrying many responsibilities to help the island function.)
Tita is jovial and doesn’t take life too seriously. She’s constantly teasing Garrett for being in a hurry. Teasing is one of her ways of showing affection. She’s sarcastic in an optimistic sort of way.
We would like actors of Polynesian descent who can do a Tongan accent. The script will be in English only, Tongan language not necessary but we would like an authentic accent.
