What’s New on Casting Networks for Casting Directors

Here is an overview of some notable enhancements that were released over the past two weeks: 

• Overall:
  • Performed major optimizations on the site to improve speed and reliability, latency issues in email notifications and scrolling issues 

• Projects & Roles:
  • Resolved issue that prevented users from adding talent to a project
  • Changed “Autofill by role criteria” filter to include role gender
  • Customized primary photo now appears on size sheet
  • Updated filters to work on mobile devices
  • Migrated casting notes now display in the correct order
  • Submission note now appears in the talent overlay

• Sessions:
  • Improved functionality to crop talent thumbnails
  • Fixed a bug which caused an error when adding a removed talent to a group
  • Fixed a bug which caused incorrect thumbnails to display after copying groups from other sessions
  • Fixed a bug which caused an error when copying hidden groups to session

• Worksheet
  • Selection tag updates are now reflected on the worksheet after a change has been made; no manual refresh required 
  • Audition history is now accessible from the worksheet
  • Fixed a bug preventing the Worksheet from displaying all relevant talent when updating number of rows to be shown in a page
  • Fixed a bug which displayed the response for cancelled requests as “Declined”

• Schedules:
  • Talent “Quick adds” are now displayed in talent searches
  • Fixed a bug that cleared the schedule response from talent pool after refreshing page

• Presentation links:
  • Presentation links shared prior to the new site launch will navigate to the specific group or talent 
  • Made improvements to Download All to better accommodate sessions with many groups and videos
  • Presentation recipients can now access overflow menu for talent to View Profile, Size Sheet and Download Snapshot
  • Presentation recipients can now download individual video and audio files  
  • Resolved issues which prevented changes to group thumbnails from displaying in live presentation links 
  • Removed “Add to Existing Presentation” option if no relevant presentations exist

 

Over the coming weeks, we will be steadily releasing further workflow improvements and functionality on a daily basis. These enhancements include:

  • Resolve issue relating to moving talent from one role to another

  • Option for presentation recipient to generate Presentation Log
  • Option to change background color as a presentation recipient
• Sessions
  • Ability to set photo as group thumbnail in session or custom presentation
• Scheduler
  • Improve talent pool experience when talent is in another callback (CB) schedule
  • Increase character length for instructions when sending out audition, self tape requests
  • Bring back schedules overview page that includes number of confirmed, declined, rescheduled and pending 
  • Add height and weight in the talent info in talent time slot
  • Improve the layout of schedule page with larger photos and ability to multi-select and drag talent

  • Search by Skill Level
